15th September
After the storm, the day dawned bright and clear, and we were woken up by the sound of cowbells. Looking out of the window, we saw a cow wandering down the street among the cars! The local farmer must have some friends in high places, as his whole herd wanders around the town and surrounding area, there are no fences at all. Later that day we saw another cross the road at a pedestrian crossing, but didn't have the camera with us. We weren't riding today, so wandered around and did a bit of shopping, (couldn't buy much, as we can't carry anything). Andorra has its own tax system, people come from all over to stock up on cigarettes and alcohol

mainly, as it is so cheap. We bought 2 x 1 litre bottles of Grants scotch for six Euro each, about 10 AUD. Fuel was cheaper as well, so we made sure we filled the bikes up before we left. The bikes were safely stored in the storeroom under the hotel, and had dried out nicely from the soaking they got the night before. We had decided to book two weeks of doing nothing in Alicante, in Spain, to settle down and catch up on everything that had been falling behind, and now with a plan, (sort of), felt a lot better. There were a few ideas tossed around, including hiring a camper van for a while, and getting off the bikes for a bit. Nothing definite on that at this stage. While shopping, we saw a few motorbike shops, but
their focus is on helmets, jackets, leathers etc, not so much in the way of spare parts. I needed a new chain for my bike, as it had worn fairly badly, and I was concerned it might break before Alicante, but all I could get was chain lube, so that would have to do....... We had a pizza at a local restaurant for tea, and prepared for the trip across into Spain tomorrow.
