13th April-3rd May
Lyn has been in Bali since the 13th April, with 3 girlfriends, doing girl things, whilst Lou and I flew in on the 23rd April, after doing manly things like drinking beer and fishing in Darwin. It seemed like a good idea to spend some relaxing holiday time before we get down to the work of travelling, tough job that!!! We hired a couple of scooters for 4 days in Nusa Dua, and did some sight seeing all over the island. Really is a pretty place. Accommodation can be cheap, depending on your standards, and due to our budget, there was no 5 star! We did visit some amazing places though, as some of the photos will show.

Lyn and I shifted from Nusa Dua to Canggu for a few days when Lou and Sue went back to Oz, to have a bit of a surf before heading into the German spring. We knew it would be cold there, and a long way from the sea, so we needed to soak it up for a while. Then the time came to leave, and a taxi through the insane traffic to the airport, for the flight to Berlin. It had been nice and warm and relaxing, a bit different to what was to come..........
